About About Digital Forensics Congress 2015

Asian Criminological Society (ACS), headquartered in Macau and Center of Excellence in Digital Forensics (CoEDF) based in Chennai are proud to present Digital Forensics Congress 2015, a power packed technical conference to address contemporary issues in the areas of cyber crime management and digital forensics.

His Excellency the Governor of Tamil Nadu Dr.K.Rosiah

His Excellency the Governor of Tamil Nadu Dr.K.Rosiah will inaugurate the first edition of Digital Forensics Congress.

The increasing incidents of cyber crimes reported both in the popular press and as seen in the crime data bring to fore the seriousness of the problem. While on the one hand technological and legal experts are attempting to minimize the incidence of cyber crimes, a matter of serious concern is the rather inadequate response to cyber crimes partially because of lack of comprehensive legal framework and partially because of inadequacy of the digital forensic investigation framework and processes.

Managing cyber crimes requires a multi-pronged and multi-perspective approach and various efforts are being made in that direction. Recognizing the need for discussing and disseminating knowledge and practices in the areas of cyber crime management with emphasis on digital forensic investigation, Center of Excellence in Digital Forensics (CoEDF) based in Chennai and Asian Criminological Society (ACS), headquartered in Macau are jointly organizing this Congress to address contemporary issues in the areas of cyber crime management and digital forensics. The Congress is an annual event which will be organized 1st & 2nd May of every year.
